All of us in the family are sport-minded. We either go biking, jogging, hiking, swimming or playing tennis. We want to be fit and active all the time. Because we want to be active and fit all the time, we make sure that these activities are safe and sound, particularly biking or jogging on the road. When my son was little, it was one of the family’s favorite things to do – ride bikes around the neighborhood, even into the night. Follow traffic regulations, always put your protective gear on and make sure the equipment is functioning properly, then you will be less likely to get into accidents.
Several safety measures for biking are similar for jogging. Put on a suit with reflectors, avoid using your headphones (for biking too), and be watchful of your surroundings. When you ride your bike or jog on the streets, you are also prone to respiratory problems because of the air pollution from cars. You can breathe in plenty of carbon monoxide in just a short time including dust and fragments. However, it is rarely the only choice people have.
