Very Good, With Extras – Best Canon Digital Camera Critique
Also, no external battery charger, so you have connect it with its door open to charge it – not ideal for keeping dust and dirt out of the waterproof compartment. Its overall design and build are not impressive.
Phone is now dead as disco and the return labels have already been printed. That’s too bad too, because I was very happy with the quality of the pictures and really liked the thought of shooting pictures under water. The camera is slow and I expected that from other reviews, I can deal with that. The issue is the poor focus, sound and mid light conditions. What a mistake. Since returning home, I have returned my camera and in fairness Olympus fixed and returned it within two weeks.
We thought it was just a glitch and moved on. My last model offers an amazing variety of filters and different shoot modes. In the water is so easy to use and takes amazing pictures. The zoom really impressed me too, especially underwater (just make sure you set it to the underwater option- I found that makes a big difference). I also love how easy this camera is to use- my dad bought the new Canon underwater camera for our California trip, and he spent the better portion of every killer moment trying to adjust his settings or figure out which button to push. After some basic research for a camera to be used solely for vacations to tropical locations, I settled on the Olympus Tough 6020 camera. I was sold on the features of the camera, particularly the ability shoot pictures and video under water.
It beeped 12 times and then shutdown whenever it was turned on. I am returning it to Olympus to get fixed but, when I buy something, I expect it to work out of the box.
While I haven’t exposed it deliberately to any of these yet…I’ll update once it’s been initiated. I bought this camera for my daughter to take on her vacation. Not very “tough” it seems. Because it has no range finder, if you are out in the sun, the screen is almost impossible to see.
I love the stability control which allows for great pictures even when your hands aren’t the steadiest. I also love that you don’t have to freak out if you drop it, or submerge in water.
I used it 3 times under water up to 20 feet no problem. The pictures come out crystal clear.
Having lost my last Stylus Tough, I upgraded to this model. While, I still think it is a good niche product, the startup time is terrible, and it does appear to take much longer to focus and snap pictures. Maybe because of that I leave it on a lot and that’s why the battery runs out! This camera is amazing.
Now granted this water park was indoors but it was fairly well lit so that’s not an acceptable excuse. receipt scanner.
