Polygamy In The Church Of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints

It would seem that any time that the topic of Mormonism comes up then the word polygamy becomes part and parcel of the conversation. This is based on the age-old concept of going back many years ago when it was believed that the Mormons which are now the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints practiced polygamy. This is no longer something that takes place within the Mormon religion.

Often what happens though is that there are breakoff groups from the Mormons that have started their own cults and they do still engage in this type of practice and it originally was known as what the Mormons would call eternal marriage. Unfortunately many people don’t realize that these are groups that have split of and class them as being Mormons.

There are still some however that believed that the doctrine of the Mormons particularly in section 132 still support the practice and in fact will tell those that do not believe in plural marriages or officially polygamy that they will not get the highest degree when it comes time to the afterlife. It does go on later though in the declarations of the Mormons that a prophet that took the position of leadership did order the church to stop the practice of polygamy. There will often be reference made back to the first chapter of the book where the very first prophet of the Mormons told his wife to either accept polygamy or be destroyed

There has been some speculation that Russell Nelson of the Mormons supported the defense of marriage. The search of records was supposedly to have been revealed that he was sealed to more than one wife. Sealed in the Mormons religion means marriage however marriage is considered by them as eternal and not just something that is for while on this earth. There is a lot of controversy over this when it comes to the death of a first wife and whether Nelson actually did break the law in any way. In speculation it seems no he did not . When a Mormon goes through the process of ceiling as their belief goes it binds them for eternity. If the wife dies then the male member can still go on to marry another woman within legal rights. Now it’s different though when the woman is the survivor she has a choice she can either marry for what is classed as for time which is while she is here on earth or she can petition to dissolve the first marriage

It must be remembered that the ultimate goal of a male Mormon is to become a God the role of the Mormon woman is to bear spirit children to populate the worlds which of course are going to be run by the husbands . Women in the 90s have been warned not to pray to the spiritual mother of their church. The concept behind this is that the heavenly Father doesn’t want his wife’s name being taken in vain.

Polygamy is still suspected in Salt Lake where charges will actually be laid if this is found to be. So some Mormons believe that the declaration of 1890 was what brought the state into apostasy and it took the teachings of Joseph Smith brought them back into the world

Use The Incredible Power Of Your Subconscious Mind

Of course it’s safe to say that everybody is aware of the fact that they have a subconscious mind. In fact, many people are quick to place the blame on their subconscious mind when they’ve done something which they later end up regretting. Ironically, not many people seem to realize just how powerful the subconscious mind can be, and even fewer people realize that while the subconscious mind can be your greatest friend, it can also be a deadly enemy. Either way, it’s one of the most powerful tools you have at your disposal because it is to your subconscious mind which actually controls the way you live.

Practically everyone acknowledges the fact that they have a subconscious mind, despite numerous attempts by professionals to convince us otherwise. Essentially, the subconscious mind could be compared to a game controller, in that it’s responsible for our actions and our thoughts. It’s that little whisper in the back of our mind which speaks to us whenever we find ourselves in a challenging situation. Of course, the manner in which your subconscious mind communicates with you will differ from one person to the next, and no two people will have the same subconscious mind. Irrespective of whether or not people are raised under the exact same circumstances, each one’s subconscious mind will communicate with them differently.

If you take a minute to think about it, you’ll realize that you’ve often heard your inner mind communicating with you. For example, you could have been on the brink of making an extremely important decision when something in your mind told you to back off. Hopefully, if you did back off, it was the right thing to do. Unfortunately though, that self same inner voice can also be a hindrance, in that it can often tell you that you cannot do something, when in fact there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to. It could for example manage to convince you that you’re simply not good enough, or that you’re not very attractive. As such, we can see that the subconscious mind is in essence what you think of yourself deep down.

Of course, if those thoughts which come from deep within are negative, then there’s not much chance that you will ever be able to enjoy the type of life you long for. On a more positive note; it is possible to change the way a subconscious mind thinks, and in so doing, you can successfully changed the way you live your life so that you can enjoy it to the fullest.

For example, many people firmly believe in the power of affirmations in order to change the way they think. These are essentially statements of a positive nature which one can repeat to oneself several times throughout the course of each day. The beauty of this is that there’s no need to spend vast amounts of money, simply because you can do it all by yourself, at home or even at work. Just take a moment to think about what aspect of your life you’d like to change, and then start thinking about yourself.

If you would like to stop smoking for example, then instead of thinking that you cannot kick the habit, you should rather be thinking how good it feels to be a non smoker. You should write this down on a piece of paper so that you can carry it around with you and read it to yourself whenever the need arises. You could of course also place a copy of it on the mirror, next to your bed, and even next to the toilet, so that you see the message as often as possible during any given day. Your goal should be to repeat this message to yourself as many times as possible each day until such time that your subconscious mind realizes that this is what you are wanting it to think.

In this sort of scenario, you would soon begin smoking less and less until you reached that point where you were able to kick the habit altogether. Of course, this is just one example but the same approach can be applied to any aspect of your life.

Let’s take a look at another example which you may even be able to relate to. How often have you woken up a bit later than you should have, and the first thing you think is, ‘I just know that it’s going to be one of those days again’? You jump in the shower, only to realize there’s no soap. You finish up and head to the kitchen for a quick cup of coffee before work, and what happens, you end up spilling coffee over yourself. By the time you get to work you firmly believe that it’s definitely going to be one of those off days. Once in your office you’re faced with several problems and just when you think things cannot get any worse, they do.

Of course the vast majority of people will blame this all on coincidence, but believe me, there is no such thing as coincidence. In fact there’s a reason for everything that happens, and when you have this sort of day the reason is usually your subconscious mind.

Interestingly enough, several books and movies have attempted to explain this phenomenon in recent times, and as a result, it has now become known as the ‘Law of Attraction’. Essentially, the Law of Attraction states that the subconscious mind actually helps to create reality rather than only influence it.

Even though this may all sound a bit far out, the theory has been proven at a subatomic level by means of quantum physics. Interestingly enough, it has been proven beyond all doubt that there is a definite link between matter and a person’s mind. Now we can see why so many religions have believed this to be the case for thousands of years already.

Obviously, if we create our own reality with us subconscious mind, then we can buy all accounts choose what sort of reality we wish to experience. Using nothing more than affirmations, some of the wealthiest people in history have managed to accumulate vast amounts of money. This is because they continuously and consistently believed that they were becoming rich.

Regain Your Life and Health With Chakra Meditation

Meditation has been part of man’s way of life for over two thousand years. All religions out there use some form of meditation as a way to achieve a higher spiritual consciousness in ones life.

Meditation isn’t hard in fact what it is really is the simple practice of concentrating and the intense focus on sounds, objects, ideas, breathing, action or even movement that will allow you to intensify perception, cut down on stress, enhance your relaxation, and gain a personal and spiritual growth.

Also it’s being used as a way of improving overall quality of life for people who are suffering with chronic, debilitating or even incurable illnesses.

There are three approaches to meditation, transcendental, relaxation response, and mindfulness meditation, which is the stress reduction way of meditation.

Meditation centers on the seven major chakras, which correspond to the body’s major endocrine glands, the power and of course the environment of the universe.

By practicing meditation for at least 30 minutes daily greatly contributes to the balanced and harmonious interdependent functions of the body’s major chakras with one another.

As energy continually flows from the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown chakras during meditation the entire body’s biological, emotional and spiritual aspects are equally nourished and balanced and in the process physical, emotional and spiritual toxins are cleansed.

Since chakra meditation requires deep concentration the uninterrupted flow of energy into the body also gives a boost to the major chakras (and their corresponding endocrine counterparts).

For a clearer grasp of chakra meditation, think of it as a turbocharger for the body; a sort of catalytic converter that gathers outside energy and channels the same into useful fuel of the body’s chakra system.

Since chakras are such an essential part of our body and its metaphysical and physical manifestations, the tuning of them is very important to our everyday lives. And it will also affect our lives in directly or indirectly, emotionally, physically, intellectually and even spiritually.

As previously mentioned, there are various ways to practice chakra meditation; regardless of the methods employed the initial and basic steps are almost all the same; to achieve concentration and allowing the state of focus to spread throughout the whole body.

Although results are not achievable in a short time, you will gradually realize that chakra meditation will eventually give you a different and more positive outlook in terms of your thought processes and in your perception and understanding of events and behaviors. Meditation; excellent benefits have been acknowledged as responsible for people having better lives, both physically and emotionally.

It seems that one of the biggest advantages is that people are more able to concentrate and their awareness is greater.

Also other noted benefits of chakra meditation are heightened creativity, better resourcefulness because of better perception. Also another proven benefit of chakra meditation is people tend to sleep much better and deeper, thus they will awake more refreshed in the morning, and overall health will also benefit by getting deeper sleep.

If you practice daily chakra meditations you will also notice a great reduction in the level of stress in all areas of your life. Because you will have better control over your emotions and better patience

Generally, overall health and well-being is greatly improved when meditation becomes a part of your daily routine. It helps to lower blood pressure which in turn can help prevent strokes and heart disease. It can also help reduce the effect of stress on people who suffer from chronic illnesses.

Even if you only practice meditation for half an hour daily you will be surprised on how much it will help to reduce your stress, improve your health, and just in general make your days better, and more productive.

Is It Easy To Develop Telepathy?

Telepathy refers to a form of direct mind-to-mind communication between two people. Thoughts and feelings can be exchanged, using only the minds of the communicants.

The telepathic ability is one that all humans possess to some degree, but have lost the means by which to control it on a conscious level. We all experience moments of telepathic activity subconsciously from time to time. Imagine being able to control that innate ability and use it to communicate.

There is no shortage of skeptics when it comes to telepathy, or in fact about any mental ability. However, consider this first , how many times have you been on top of the world when you run into someone you know who is feeling miserable; and after talking to this person for only a short time, you begin to take on the same mood? Probably more times than you can count.

Its not what they were saying to you; not with their mouths, anyway. What has happened here is that you were telepathically receiving their emotions and feelings.

Scientific studies have shown that by accessing the sub-conscious centre of your mind and learning to focus your thoughts and feelings toward a specific person, it is possible to re-awaken the dormant telepathic abilities.

As with any other form of communication, we are taught as children by our elders. Our parents teach us speech and body language, so that we mimic the same language and even the same accents. This is because we all have the same ability to learn to communicate, but we only communicate in the ways in which we were taught.

Of course, your parents probably never taught you to use your telepathic abilities, but this does not mean that you cannot use them. All it means is that you have not yet been taught how.

Lets look at some ways you might use to awaken your own latent telepathy.

Mental-Muscle training

In much the same way as young children need to learn to strengthen their voice boxes and learn to control how their mouth moves as they learn to make words, youll need to learn to strengthen and control your telepathic muscles.

The centers in your brain that control telepathic communication work most strongly on the sub-conscious level, or in the trance-like hypnotic state. This trance state is a level of relaxation all humans are capable of reaching without too much trouble.

Learn to relax your mind so that you can reach your trance state easily. When you can reach this point, youve begun to train your mind to be controlled at will.

Focus

Learning to maintain your minds focus while youre in a trance state can be quite difficult to master. During your next deep relaxation session, focus on someone youd like to contact you.

Visualize them and project positive thoughts. Visualize them receiving your thoughts. Remain focused on this until the recipient has had enough time to absorb these thoughts.

Then stop focusing on them at all. Stop the contact so that they can feel the communication being broken off; this should make them attempt to reestablish this link.

Keep practicing this technique; once you start telepathy training with a partner, this practice should have prepared you well for sending and receiving telepathic communications.

Partner Practice

One partner will be the sender and the other will be the receiver in this exercise. The sender should begin by projecting simple thoughts such as bright colors.

The receiver should have a pen and paper handy in order to write down anything which may be a telepathic communication.

Afterwards, sender and receiver compare notes to assess how successful the exercise has been. Dont get discouraged; telepathy is an ability which takes practice, but you will improve over time.
