MLM Business and Attraction Marketing?
Attraction Marketing for an MLM Marketing business is a well used term these days online. A number of years ago, a group of us were calling it “relationship marketing” and it means the same thing. There are now huge changes happening in MLM, especially on the internet . However, it’s still a challenge for many network marketers to fully understand what Attraction marketing means. This kind of marketing is quite the opposite from making a list of all your friends, acquaintances and family, and then approaching them one by one. In this article, we use an example of how attraction marketing really works.
What if you had a web page somewhere telling people about yourself, and you had some pictures of stuff you do, like maybe you pretend to be Mick Jagger in the Rolling stones band, or you love scuba diving, or love to travel, so something else completely different. You also have an MLM home business and you have a little advert on the side of your page with a link to your specific business.
Now, way over the other side of the world, perhaps in Australia or Asia or Europe, or anywhere, imagine this person (lets call him mystery guy) is searching the internet for a new MLM business. This person used to be a big leader in another company, but he’s looking for something different. He has found the company he wants to join and now he’s looking for a sponsor, someone he will get along with and someone he can trust and respect. He’s not interested in joining someone who’s a big leader already, because he knows from past experience, that big leaders don’t have much time.
This company he wants to join has one of those internet powerline systems, and he joins a couple to see if he can get to know some sponsors. However, no-one calls him and he tries to call them, but no answer. He looks for them online and can’t find anything about them, so he can’t even get to know their passions and hobbies.
He comes across your page telling individuals all about yourself, and then he reads about you, and looks at your pictures. He gets to know you just from reading and looking at the pictures of you scuba diving and singing on stage. This guy loves the Rolling stones himself and is fascinated by the ocean, even though he’s never been diving before. You have a blog which discusses your company, but it doesn’t just advertise the company, you actually talk in your “own voice” so folks can get to know you.
This guy clicks on the link to your company site, becomes a member under you and he purchases some products. He has a friend there with him and she joins also and buys some products. You were away when he joined, but when you get back you call him up using your voice over IP phone system (you could never build a business round the world without one of those to save you money). Mystery guy is so pleased to hear from you, after all the other individuals he’d attempted to contact. You and him build a rapport right away, and you really like him. That night, you can hardly sleep because you are thinking how lucky you are to have someone like him join your business.
Time passes and this new member on your team sponsors a lot more people . You move up a few pin levels because of all his activity and you both build a good relationship also. One of his leaders opens up a new country for your company and this brings more success to everyone in your team.
Suddenly, or it seems that way, your life changes dramatically, you start traveling to the other side of the world, to meet up with your new business partners. Now you can start doing more of the things you love doing, and you start attracting many other individuals in the same way.
This is the way attraction marketing works. You put your stuff out there online and others are attracted to it. This “stuff” could be about your products or (more importantly) what problems your products can solve for people . And the more things you share about yourself, the more your business grows, and the more money you make from your MLM business opportunity.
