Evening Jobs

If you are the mother of very young children who can’t get out during the day, but need to get a job to contribute to the family budget, then evening work could be a good compromise. When you have young children it is almost impossible to work during the day because the cost of child care is so high.

There are a number of things that you can do during the evenings to contribute to the budget. Many hotels need evening maids to help out when last minute guests turn up, restaurants and cafes often need waitresses who can work in the evening, or you might want to consider a bar job or cleaning offices.

None of the evening jobs that are available have much in the way of prospects, but they can help to bridge a financial gap while at the same time getting you back into the workplace. If your children are already in school, but are still very young, then you may want to consider getting a dinner lady’s job or putting in an application to be a classroom assistant.

Many women get back into the workforce by helping out at their children’s playgroup and getting childcare qualifications to work in the area long term.
